Hola Beauties! Changes, resolutions, and new habits come with a new year, but the most challenging part is how to start this change process and find the motivation to do it. Here are three tips about how to make changes in life and stay focused on your progress.
Changes require a lot of commitment; if you want to see results, you need to maintain your focus and remind yourself how good you will feel once you get to the end of the road.
The most important part for you to succeed in life is maintaining your motivation; we can get frustrated when we don’t see fast results, and here is when negative thoughts go through our minds resulting in quitting and losing all that hard work.
Let’s jump into these three tips to help you organize your ideas and keep you on track with your life changes.

1. Start with a Plan
I find it very helpful to write down my goals or changes that I want to make in my life. Instead of leaving the idea in your head, write it down; this will create a sense of realness.
Try to be realistic with your long-term goals, and don’t put pressure on yourself to do something that might be impossible to achieve. For example, instead of losing 20 pounds in a month, try something like losing 20 pounds in the next 10 months.
Right from the start, you are giving yourself a reasonable time to work on your goal; if you don’t see the results in a month, you will probably end up giving up and losing all your motivation. Small changes will improve your progress and keep your energy and positivity Up.
Once you write down all your goals, take a moment to think about the benefits from them and how they will make you feel.
This is an example of a goal I have:
Plan: Get my Project Management Certification
Time: It takes a year from the moment you applied
Benefits: Increase my management skills, more salary, and move up in my current position.
How this will make me feel: This is a challenging certification to obtain, making me feel accomplished.

2. Schedule your Activities
Finding time to work on your goals can be difficult when you have a daily routine that involves work, family, house, etc. When planning your goals, find a space to schedule the activities that will take you to that main result.
Try to schedule activities according to small results or milestones; for example, for my PM Certification, I reviewed the material I need to read and the courses I need to take, and I schedule hours a week to study and practice accordingly.
You need to find a time that works best for you and go step by step; focusing on small and realistic targets is better than trying to do it all at once.
Remember that the important thing here is staying focused on your primary goal; if you skip one day, don’t let this disturb your plans; keep going and find the best time to continue working on your milestones.
One thing you can do is write down your progress; what did you accomplish today, this week, or month? This will keep you motivated.

3. Celebrate every step
Every step, Every milestone matters, so don’t forget to celebrate them and be proud of yourself! Share with friends and family what you have been doing, your results, and embrace them!
Seeing the support from others can inspire you to keep going toward your final and the desired result; don’t give up! Write down how you feel and what you are celebrating.
Once you get to your final step and the main goal, take a moment to congratulate yourself, be proud of all your hard work, and share it.
Sharing your experience can help others, and you can look back in the future and use this moment as an inspiration for other plans or goals.
