This Post is About How to change negative thinking to positive.
1. Write down your negative thoughts
We are our worst critical, and there is no doubt of this. I have been there, where I tell myself horrible things like you are not working hard enough; why am I not seeing results? I will not be able to do this, and with time, we start to believe it is true, bringing down our self-esteem and confidence.
The first step on this journey is to self-reflect on how we talk to ourselves, write down all those negative phrases we constantly repeat, and think, would I say this to a family member or my best friend? The answer is probably NO, so why are we so hard on ourselves?
Reread those phrases, analyze their impact, consider how they can affect your mental and physical health, and check your behavior around them.
2. Listen to your inner voice
Pay attention to your body and mind and how you feel after negative thoughts. Are they affecting your daily life? Are you able to meet your goals? Do you feel defeated? It would be best if you started listening to your inner voice. Are these harsh words helping you, or are they actually holding you back?
For example, I did not realize how badly my negative thoughts impacted my full-time job, not my performance but how I handled situations with co-workers and project timelines. My mind was always bringing up these horrible phrases, and it was making the problem worse and also affecting my mental state with a lot of stress.
I realized that I was also the problem and completely changed how I talk to myself. Now, I handle situations better, reduce my stress level, and feel comfortable and happy in my job.
You don’t know how words can affect your life, and if you don’t talk to yourself with love, how do you expect others to do it?
Once you learn to listen to your internal voice and be your best friend and motivator, you will see how you can even bring positivity to others.
3. Use words that bring positivity
How often do you feel that no matter what you do, you don’t have time to finish any of your tasks, and you feel that sense of obligation with everything you do?
The reason behind this feeling is the way we express ourselves; for example, if you say I have to finish this.., I need to do that, I must have finished that…. this will give a sense of obligation, which will bring that sense of stress and a negative feeling.
When I work on my weekly or monthly plan, I use words that do not reflect obligation but are most likely something I want or will do. For example:
- I will finish my weekly blog.
- I am going to workout 4 times this week
- I want to go for walks every morning
As you can see, I am using phrases that give a sense of reward, not a sense that if I don’t do something, I am a failure or lazy.
Using the right words is essential for a healthy mindset. You will see amazing things once you change how you talk to yourself. Words have power and can change your life, career, and relationships with others.
Okay Beauties, I hope this guide about Changing negative thinking to positive helps you with your daily mindset and selfcare.
Remember that self-love is essential for a healthy life, and we need to talk to ourselves the same way we talk to somebody we love.
Love you all ❤
