Hola Beauties! Makeup Forever reformulated its famous HD Skin foundation, and I could not resist and put it to the test myself. Here is the Makeup Forever HD Skin Foundation Review.
I tried the old formula before and enjoyed it, but it was never a foundation I had in my collection. I was excited to see the new formula since it provides a more natural finish.
Okay, Let’s jump on the review and see if this foundation is worth it.

This post is about Makeup Forever HD Skin Foundation Review.
1. Packaging
Great packaging, the foundation comes in a tick glass bottle with a cute plastic brown lid and a black pump. You can find this foundation in 2 sizes: a mini version of 1.01 fl. oz – 30 ml and a regular bottle of 1.01 fl. oz – 30 ml. I got the mini version to test it out.
The packaging is made from recyclable materials.
2. Formula
This liquid foundation is lightweight and blends like a dream. I used a brush and a sponge, and with both of them, the results were good; however, I liked the finish with the brush better. You can use the sponge to retouch those areas that are difficult to blend with a brush.
The new formula is powered by a micro-skin system that synchronizes with the skin for a natural skin-like finish. At the same time, this new technology also provides high correction and smooths the skin.
The main ingredients in the foundation are Vegetable-Origin Glycerol which helps to preserve moisture, and Exopolysaccharide, which preserves radiance.
Another essential point to mention, the foundation is water and sweat-proof.
3. Shades
The mini version has 6 shades; I got mine in 3N42 Amber since I was tanned. It was still a little darker, but I made it work.
The regular size has 40 shades with different undertone options. I will probably get 2R24 for medium skin tones with rosy undertones.
4. Results
Coverage
This foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation. The coverage is excellent; I have a small sun mark on my left side that is really hard to cover, and this foundation this a great job.
Finish
The finish is natural and dewy. Even though you can bring this foundation to full coverage, the skin still looks healthy and not patchy; looks like skin but better.
My reedness and imperfections were smooth, and the finish was fantastic overall.
Longevity
The first time I tried this product, I just stayed around the house and probably wore the makeup for about 6 hours. By the end, the foundation was intact, and everything looked in place. My T-Zone was a little oily, but that is normal with my combination skin.
The second time I used this foundation, I put it to a real test. I went to an outdoor music festival with many people, and it impressed me that despite how much I sweat, this product did not crack or look patchy. By the night’s end, even though most of my makeup was gone after dancing for 6 hours, my skin looked good, and there was no ugly patchiness.
Here is a closer look at the finished makeup with no filters.
Skin Reaction
I have sensitive skin, and this product worked great, with no breakouts, allergies, or adverse skin reactions.
Price
The mini version retails for 22 USD, 29 CAD. The regular size retails for 43 USD, 55 CAD.

Final Thought
Okay Beauties, I really liked this foundation; the finish is beautiful, natural, and has excellent coverage. At the same time, the foundation is up to the claims, lasts all day, and is definitely sweat-proof.
