This Blog is all about How to Relax your Mind after a long day
Struggle to Relax
Personally, I find it hard to relax; in the back of my mind, I always have to do something, and when I am not, that guilty feeling invades my mind. There is a lot of pressure from society that we need to be productive and always on top of every situation.
Another point to mention, we always have the excuse that we don’t have time to relax, and I say we because I am one of them. My work is very busy, and I have days when I can even have time to eat, and I know this is not good, but I am learning to prioritize my health before anything else.
It is important to remember that not everything needs to be done right away; we don’t take time to relax because we must finish all our tasks first, which is not correct. There is always time!
If you find yourself struggling to relax, I have 5 tips that I have been practicing and helping me improve my life quality.
How to Relax your Mind
Find something creative
Work on your creativity; find something that brings you joy and helps you improve that creative site that you need to explore more. For example, for me is makeup; I love playing with makeup, creating looks, trying new products, and sharing with my audience.
Find something that takes you to the relaxation you need, paint, write, draw, sew, make jewelry, and do it for fun; don’t think about the results.
Do something Fun
Go back to enjoy the things you like doing, read a book, read a magazine, listen to music, cook your favorite meal, watch your favorite movie ( Even if it is the 10th time), have a nice spa time, play a game.
Don’t feel guilty for having a few hours of relaxation and fun; this is your time, your moment; you need it!
Exercise
Try to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. I always try to work out at least 30 min 5 times a week. Trust me is not easy; for example, I am in meetings all day none stop, so when I have at least 30 min free, I try to work out, recharge, and continue with my day.
You can also exercise at the end of your workday, but what matters is moving your body, swimming, walking, running, yoga, meditating, or whatever is best for you.
Exercise is fantastic for your mental and body health.
Take Breaks
Take breaks during your day. No matter how busy you are, take a moment to breathe, walk around the office/ house, and stretch your body.
Taking a break can restore your mind to a better place and state.
Bring your mind to a happy place
I know how hard it is to keep your mind away from your tasks; even when I am in bed, my mind comes back to work, affecting my sleep.
For me, a way to stop your brain from overthinking about work or other pending tasks is to bring your mind to a happy place or thought.
You can think about that special day or an amazing vacation spot, a special moment with a particular person, and bring your mind to a happy state instead of stress and worries.
Okay Beauties, these are my 5 tips to relax your mind after a long day; remember that it is essential to take a break to think about what makes you happy and your mental stability. Not everything in life is about work ( I have to remember this too).
