Hola Beauties! We live in a time where we are constantly busy, forgetting to make time for those activities that can help our mental and body state. Can you imagine if you have an extra hour or two to start a new hobby, go for a walk, or relax? Here are five tips about How to have more free time.
We complain about not having enough time; I am one of those people. Sometimes, my days pass in front of me, and I don’t even know what I did or accomplished. We must be mindful about what we do with our time and learn to prioritize our activities and be wise.
The critical part is to look into those activities that are taking away your time and not bringing anything productive. At the same time, learn how to buy more time, for example, hiring a house cleaning or meal prep for the week.
Okay, let’s jump into the 5 tips that will help you reclaim your time.

This post is about How to have more free time
1. Try reducing your screen time
How much time do you spend on social media? You can lose hours just on TikTok or Youtube. Can you imagine what you can do with that time?
I know sometimes it’s hard to put your phone inside but thinks about the benefit of going for a 20 min walk, 30 min workout, yoga, or meditation instead.
Studies have shown that one of the most significant contributors to lack of sleep is the phone so if you find yourself scrolling through social media in bed, try to find a better hobby, read a book, listen to a podcast, or have a warm bath, imagine what this can do to your mental and body health.
2. Meal Preparation
I am always running around when it comes to cooking. As much as I love food, cooking takes a lot of time, and I always worry about what to do for dinner. One thing you can do to minimize this activity’s time is to cook batches of dishes during the weekend, such as rice, pasta, ground beef, vegetables, or any other food you can easily reuse during the week.
3. Pay for help
Yes, you can also invest in yourself to maximize your time! For example, I don’t do groceries as much anymore; I now pay for an extra $3 service where the groceries are picked and packed by employees, and they bring them to the car; this little thing saves me 2 or 3 hours and its excellent for days when I need to get food and don’t have time for shopping.
You can also pay for other services like house cleaning, dog walkers, or other time-consuming services. You don’t need to do it all the time but if you have a busy schedule with no time for yourself, consider this possibility.
4. Reduce work hours
Reduce your work time; not everything in life is work. When the pandemic came in 2020, and we started working from home, I found myself working all the time, and I was getting to a point where I did not have time to have lunch, and people were booking meetings after hours.
My mental health started to crumble, and I was exhausted. After a few months, I took control of the situation and decided to organize my time better and ensure that people understood that I had a life besides work and needed to respect my work hours.
It’s essential to take time for the things you love because these are the ones that will keep you aligned and happy. Work is important, and we all have goals, but not everything is about that; you also need time to work on yourself, your hobbies, your body health, and any other activity that is part of your internal growth.
5. Enjoy your commute
If you have to travel to work, try to enjoy most of the time doing an activity that will bring you joy. Read a book, listen to podcasts or music, work on a project, study, paint, or do anything that brings positivity.
Commute time can be long; my commute to work is over an hour on the train, and it’s here where I work on my social media posts, write down ideas for my blog, or read a book.
Okay, Beauties, these are the 5 tips about How to have more free time and enjoy your life. Hopefully, this blog is helpful and motivates you to take more time for yourself.
