This post is about How to be More Confident in Yourself.
1. Stop comparing yourself with other people
This is probably one of the most common mistakes we ALL make, including me. We tend to compare ourselves with others, and we must understand that we are all different and can not expect our life to be exactly like others.
We have our own goals, strengths, and paths, and comparing with other people’s journals can only bring you down. Remember that everybody has struggled; nothing seems like we see in social media, and you need to focus on your goals, not what other people are doing.
You can take advice and maybe practice others’ tips but do not compare yourself with their results, focus on yourself and your end plan.
2. Identify your weaknesses and strengths
Make a list of all your strengths and capitalize on them, validate those things that make you unique and proud, and embrace them. Think about a previous success and how that felt, review the steps that took you there, and bring them to your present.
At the same time, list your weaknesses and plan how you can work on them. I know that it can be hard to validate those areas of improvement, but remember that you are not alone, and everybody has flaws; it is essential to recognize them if you want to grow.
3. Think positive
Leave behind all those negative thoughts and focus on the positive. Negative thoughts can bring our self-esteem down and destroy our self-worth. When you find yourself bringing negative affirmations to your life, replace them with positive thoughts like I can do this, I am capable, I am worthy of love, I am worthy of happiness and success.
Another great thing you can do is to surround yourself with positive people who can bring encouragement, positivity, and inspiration. Remember, we are not alone on this; you might also help somebody on the same re-discovery path.
4. Step out of your comfort zone
It is essential to get out of your bubble and explore. I know we have fears that can limit our goals, but if you want to increase your confidence, you need to come to terms with yourself and get out of your conform zone.
Start with small steps; for example, learn a new skill, start going for walks or working out at home if you are looking to change your body, practice self-post in the mirror if you need more confidence talking in front of people; take one step at the time, but once you take the first step, you are going to feel more secure in continuing in taking risks, and you will have more control of your behavior.
5. Don’t be hard on yourself
Practice self-love. One of the most important things to get confidence is to love yourself. Start by saying positive notes and leave behind any destructive thoughts that you might have. Focus on the positive and the present and evaluate what makes you different, what makes you important, and why you deserve the best.
If you find yourself questioning and having negative thoughts, shift that behavior into a constructive one, for example, why I am so hard on myself, why I do not believe in myself, and why I am putting so much stress on myself. Once you start answering those questions and noticing your behavior, you will start loving and accepting yourself more.
Okay Beauties, these are the 5 tips I had to share about How to be More Confident in Yourself. Remember, only you can change your present and build your future; the past is in the past, so leave it there and focus on your current goals and happiness.
Practice will take you to your better self, so don’t give up and trust in the beautiful person you are.
Love ❤
