Physicians Formula is one of my favorite affordable makeup brands, so when I saw the new additions to their Butter Collection, I couldn’t resist adding them to my cart.
I have been playing with all the products for a few months, and today, I want to share my thoughts on them, performance, formula, and more.

Physicians Formula Butter Collection New Products
They introduced new products in this collection, including a new foundation, setting spray, primer, mascara, eyeliner, bronzer, and face palette.
I did not have the chance to get all of them, but I did get my hands on the Butter Believe It Foundation, All-Star Palette, and the Butter Blow Out Mascara.
Physicians Formula Butter Believe It Foundation.
One of my favorite foundations is the Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation; it is incredible, so when I saw they were releasing a new one, I had to get it.
Packaging
This foundation comes in a nice glass bottle with a pump. The bottle has a simple but cute decoration of leaves. I like that it has a pump, which makes the application more manageable and prevents contamination.
Shades and Price
This foundation only comes in 12 shades; I got mine in Light to Medium, but I think I can go for a darker shade during summer when I get a tan. ( Medium or Medium to Tan)
This product retails for 14.99 USD, 18 CAD.
Formula and Ingredients
This foundation is suitable for all skin types and is a two-in-one foundation + concealer so that you can skip a step in your makeup application.
The formula is liquid but has a tiny creamy texture that makes it easy to blend into the skin. The main ingredients are Murumuru Butter, Cupuaçu Butter, and Tucuma Butter, which provide amazing hydration.
Application and Finish
This foundation blends like a dream. I use a brush and then finish the application with a sponge to retouch here and there. The finish is medium coverage, but you can build it up to full coverage.
The finish is very natural with a touch of glow; I love how my skin looks with this foundation. Another important factor is that the foundation does not feel heavy, is very lightweight, and lasts all day.

Physicians Formula All Start Palette
I already have the Butter Collection Palette with Weylie Hoang in my collection, which I love. Still, since this new palette has different products, including the new matte bronzer, I decided to try it.
Packaging
This beautiful palette comes in a hard cardboard container with a design that evokes spring and summer.
The palette does not come with a mirror, which is not a big deal for me, but it is important to mention it if you want one.
Face Palette Products
This palette contains everything you need for a complete makeup look. I love that you can bring it on a trip and be ready to go.
Here are the products :
- Murumuru Butter Bronzer: Original Butter Bronzer that we all love.
- Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls: I was a bit confused with this product because I thought it was a highlighter when I first saw it. This is a glowy powder. This can be used as a final step to add a bit of luminosity to your makeup, or you can also use it as a very nartural highlighter. This product has a bit of glitter, so keep that in mind if you are not a fan.
- Powder Palette Multi-Colored Pressed Powder: This lovely finish powder provides a natural matte finish.
- Matte Monoi Butter Bronzer: This bronzer is really lovely and super pigmented. It blends nicely, and the formula is very buttery, like the original. The difference is that the original provides a touch of glow, and this one is completely matte.
- Rose All Day Petal Glow: This is a beautiful highlighter that you can build up for an intense look. It blends nicely, and the finish has a gold/pink glow.
- Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush is a luminous pinky blush. It gives a very natural finish and is easy to blend.
Palette Thoughts
This is a beautiful palette. I enjoy most of the products here. The only ones I might not use constantly are the finish powders because I already have my holy grail.
This palette retails for 17.99 USD, 21.99 CAD, which is a fantastic price considering all the products you get and their size.
It is important to mention that this palette has a floral scent that might not be suitable for everybody.
Physicians Formula Butter Blow Out Mascara
This is the first mascara from Physicians formula I tried, so I didn’t know what to expect.
Packaging
This is a super cute pink and green tube with leaves as decoration. The brush is oversized and fluffy. This product retails for 11.49 USD, 14 CAD.
Formula
One of the things that got my attention about this mascara is the list of ingredients. This product is infused with lash-strengthening Keratin, Murumuru Butter, Cupuaçu Butter, and Tucuma Butter. It also has essential fatty acids and pro-vitamins that provide lash moisture.
Results
This mascara provides a nice length, but I was not very impressed with the volume. I was expecting a blowout volume like the name, but it was not what I liked. At the same time, you must clean the brush a bit since a lot of product comes from the tube.
I notice that my lashes don’t feel heavy with this product, and the mascara doesn’t flake or smudge at the end of the day. Another great thing is that it was really easy to remove!
Final Thoughts
This is not a bad mascara; it just did not provide the volume that I wanted. I don’t wear falsies, so I am very picky about the mascaras I use; however, I like to combine this product with other mascaras to obtain the expected results.
I like the ingredients and other benefits that this mascara provides.
