Hola Beauties! Makeup by Mario came out with a new foundation that he called a complexion masterpiece. The foundation was launched in January 2023 and instantly became a viral tiktok product. I could not resist the hype, so I purchased it at Sephora Website. After a few days of trying out this product, here is my Makeup by Mario Surreal Skin Foundation Review

Packaging
The packaging is a slim glass bottle that contains 1 FL OZ/ 30 ML. The bottle feels nice, is good quality, and comes with a pump.
Formula
This is a lightweight liquid foundation that blends easily into the skin. I used a foundation brush and a sponge for the application, and both worked great; however, I liked the finish with the brush better since the sponge absorbs more product, and you have to apply more for extra coverage.
The foundation has MoistureGrip™ technology that hydrates the skin for 12 hours.
Finish
This foundation provides buildable medium coverage. The finish is glowy and skin-like, and the formula does not feel heavy on the skin.
I was happy with the results; my skin looked healthy and radiant, and the coverage was perfect for my preference. I have large pores in my cheeks, so I did notice a little texture in that area, but nothing crazy; at the end of the day, I have similar results with most foundations.
Another important point to mention, the foundation does not oxidate, which is fantastic.
Longevity
This foundation is long-wearing; the times I tried it out, I wore my makeup for about 8 hours, and the foundation looked great by the end of the day. I don’t know if it will last longer than that, but 8 hours is a great mark.
Shades
The foundation has 30 shades available for Light, Light – Medium, Medium, Medium-Dark, and Dark skin tones. I got the shade 120 – medium with warm and olive undertone, which was a perfect match. I am so impressed since I bought the foundation online, and it was perfect.
Price
This foundation retails for 42 USD, 55 CAD. The price is not super high compared to other foundations, but it is still a little high, for my preference.

Final Thought
Okay Beauties, in general, this is a nice foundation; I love the finish and formula; my skin looks healthy and glowy, and most importantly, it was really easy to find my shade. I see myself using this foundation, but I don’t think it will always be something I would purchase.
I don’t think this foundation is the best out there, but it is still a good one, and it’s worth trying if you are curious. I still prefer the Makeup Forever HD Skin Foundation; this one has been my favorite high-end since I tried it.
You can find affordable options that provide a similar finish to the Surreal Skin Foundation, like the NYX Born to Glow Foundation, for only $10.
