Hola Beauties! Do you find it hard to stay calm in a stressful situation? Here are 7 ways how to practice calmness during challenging times.

Sometimes, our emotions can change how we react to a problematic situation, and we respond with anger, sadness, or frustration. Having a habit of calm can help here.

When you can adopt a calmer attitude towards anything life puts in your way, you learn to accept that life is complex and take a moment to reflect, validate, and calm your mind when something is negatively affecting you.

1. Take a moment to listen

If you are having an argument or confrontation with somebody and feel that anger taking place, take a moment to reflect on your reaction towards the other person and listen to what they are trying to say.

Find a way to understand the other person’s feelings and open your mind to the possibility that both of you have good points. Once you find this balance, you can see yourself calmer and with the ability to open your heart and find a solution to the discussion.

2. Take deep breaths

Stop and focus on your breathing if you feel angry, upset, or frustrated. Take long and slow breaths until you feel more relaxed and have a clear mind.

3. Go for a nice walk

This is one of the best techniques, in my opinion. When you feel exhausted or irritated, walking helps clarify your mind, release tension, and boost your productivity.

4. Practice Yoga or Meditation

These practices are known for the mind-body connection and liberating tension. Try incorporating these activities after a long, stressful day to bring balance and calmness to your life.

5. Enjoy nature

Find a moment to be in nature. Sit in a park, or go for a walk in a place where you are in touch with trees and plants and can breathe fresh air. Studies have shown that spending time in nature improves stress levels and mood and boosts happiness.

6. Check your body

Check how your body responds during those difficulties, which areas get tense, and try to relax them. Take a few minutes to stretch and move your muscles.

7. Find time for creativity

Find something creative to relax your mind, write, paint, play music, dance, or do any activity that brings joy and calmness to your day.
