How to Face Your Fears

Hola Beauties! Fears are common in this society, everybody has them, but the problem is when they affect your life and decisions. It is at this moment when instead of about them, you need to learn to face them. Here are five techniques about How to Face your fears.

Fears can be minimal and not affect our lives, but other types of fears can change how we approach everyday situations and take us to places where stress and anxiety come into the picture.

There are ways to manage fears; one is running away from them and dismissing any situation where you have to face it or face it and take complete control of the problem. The second option may be intimidating and scary, but you need to validate how your life is affected by these emotions and what is the best technique for you to overcome them.

The good news is that many strategies can help you on this journey, but in this article, we will focus on five that I find the best and those that have helped me face my fears.

This post is about How To Face Your Fears

1. Remember to breathe

Remember to stay calm during these situations. When you practice calmness, your body relaxes, and your mind is more open to receiving these fears differently. Take a deep breath, move your body, and think positively.

2. Accept the situation

Don’t be hard on yourself and accept the situation. Everybody has fears; no matter how small or big they are, there is always something that most people are afraid of. Take the time to evaluate your emotions and learn to accept them.

Don’t feel embarrassed or bad for having these fears; once you understand why they exist and how they affect you, you can move to the next level and confront them.

3. Find support

Talking about your fears can be beneficial; try to find a person you can relate to and express how you feel when you are in this situation. Talk to a friend, family member, or therapist with the expertise to help others take control of the same issue.

4. Be kind to yourself

Write down your emotions, thoughts, and how you talk to yourself; explore the messages you have been saying in your mind and how they affect you. Find the triggers and the main reason for your fears; what am I afraid of? Am I too hard on myself?

We are all humans, nobody is perfect, and fear is part of life; we need to learn to live with that and accept our weakness as part of who we are.

5. Explore your options

Find ways to see your fears differently; for example, add something fun to the situation that can help you relax and have a more positive outcome.

Another example is if your fear is more related to speaking in public, presentations, or just being in the public eye, why don’t you try something different like sign up for a course or find people with the same issue and work together, you can make friends and help each other by doing task and workshops.

Don’t look at the situation as the worst thing that can happen to you; find ways to improve it and train your brain to relax and overcome the problem.
